Adam Kane, born 23 January 1968 in California, USA, is a motion picture director and cinematographer.

Biography[]

Earlier career[]

He is the son of composer Artie Kane. He began his film career covering live sports for the World Cup Ski Races in Aspen, Colorado. He attended the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, where he filmed nine student films. He then attended the American Film Institute for his Master's degree. While at the AFI, he worked on several music videos and promos for television, including MTV's series Catwalk from 1992 to 1994. He has also been involved in commercial shoots for Honda, Nissan, Philips, and Calvin Klein.

In 2005, he transitioned to directing, the short film The Fix starring Robert Patrick. The film won numerous awards. He then became an episodic director for television. He has worked on Pushing Daisies, My Own Worst Enemy, Supernatural, Kings, Mercy, Heroes, The Mentalist, Haven, and Being Human.

During Falling Skies[]

In 2012, he joined the crew of the second season of the Steven Spielberg alien-invasion drama Falling Skies. He served as an episodic director for the show, directing the episode "The Price of Greatness".

Adam later returned to direct one episode in Season 3, "Be Silent and Come Out" and also one episode in Season 4, "Drawing Straws".
