Boon, a member of the sub-group the Berserkers and fighter in the 2nd Mass, is Tector's partner whom Tom scolds for using Matt as bait in a hunting mission. In "Molon Labe" Boon is captured and shot by a Mech in front of the 2nd Mass.

Story

Battle of Fitchburg

"Battle of Fitchburg Chapter 4"

While Tector and Crazy Lee went to rescue Pope, Lyle and Boon took position in a building overlooking the street. After saving Pope, Lyle and Boon set charges on the 2nd floor of another building to ambush the Skitters and Mechs. Boon informed Pope he set a five-second delay to ambush. The five of them drove out the 2nd floor windows, just escaping the blast.

Season 2

"Young Bloods"

Boon and Tector used Matt Mason as bait for two Skitters. When Matt appeared trapped, Boon and Tector killed them both. Tom Mason later found out and was furious with Tector and Boon for using his son as bait. When Tom assigned them to the sanitation unit, Boon did not respond well, however Tector calmed him down and left to hand in their guns. Tom later assigns Tector and Boon back to the unit, and Tector says if Boon doesn't keep in line he'll him so far up his backside he'll taste leather.

"Love and Other Acts of Courage"

After the explosion nearby the camp, Boon is taken by Tom to investigate, finding dead skitters and destroyed mechs. After the 2nd Mass captured and interrogated Red Eye Skitter, it attempted to escape and Boon while trying to stop it, accidentally shot and killed Rick Thompson.

"Molon Labe"

He was later used as a scout with Tector when they were surrounded. He was captured and eventually executed by a Mech as a message to the rest of the 2nd Mass. Tector was visably upset with his death, firing off several rounds.

"Death March"

A few days later, Tector admitted he felt responsible for Boon's death. Captain Weaver was eventually able to convince him that Boon's death was not his fault.

• During a Q&A with Greg Beeman he answers that Boon was killed to show how malicious Karen had become. The death could have been a different Berserker, but he wanted it to affect Tector Murphy who they knew was a character with a big role coming up in the next episode.
