Story[]

Season 1[]

"Live and Learn"[]

Anticipating that the 2nd Massachusetts Militia Regiment would come to the food distribution warehouse for food supplies, the Skitter waited for them in ambush. After spotting Karen Nadler wheeling a shopping cart full of food, the Skitter waited on a high shelf that Hal Mason began moving food from. The Skitter surprised Hal, causing him to fall off the shelves. Before it could harm Hal, Tom Mason opened fire on it with an assault rifle, causing no harm but allowing Hal to escape. The gunfire drew the attention of a Mech that attacked Tom and Hal. The Skitter stayed out of the fight until Tom destroyed the Mech with a C4 charge inside a shopping cart. Enraged, the Skitter climbed over a shelf and advanced on Tom who fired at it with the assault rifle to no avail. Tom ran out of ammunition, but before the Skitter could kill him, Dai came up behind it and shot the Skitter in the back at point-blank range. Mortally wounded, the Skitter rolled onto its back as the 2nd Mass fighters surrounded it. In pain, the Skitter made unintelligible noises before dying of its wounds. As it died, Jimmy Boland wondered what it was thinking about.

Death[]

Killed By[]

As the Skitter advanced on Tom Mason to kill him, Dai came up behind it and shot the Skitter in the back at point-blank range with a sawed-off shotgun, mortally wounding it. The Skitter died shortly thereafter of its injuries.

Notes[]

  • This Skitter is the first killed on-screen by the 2nd Massachusetts Militia Regiment. However, it is not the first they killed as a couple of soldiers discussed another time a Skitter was killed by a resistance fighter and Tom Mason told John Pope shortly afterwards that he had killed "a few" Skitters, though never one-on-one.
