Season 1Edit

"Silent Kill"Edit

This skitter was the guardian of a group of harnessed children. One of the children was Ben Mason; this skitter appeared to treat the children as if they were it's own. However, this skitter was unaware Hal Mason sneaked into the group, as he attached a dead harness onto his back. Nonetheless, the skitter found out when Hal was not a harnessed child, when Hal called out to his brother quietly while they were sleeping. As the skitter woke up, Hal stabbed the Skitter with a knife in the soft pallet of its mouth, attempting to hit its nerve center. However, Hal missed and he and the Skitter grappled as the harnessed children grabbed onto Hal. Entering the room, Tom Mason shot the Skitter in the chest with an arrow, wounding it and allowing Hal to bring it to the ground and kill it with his knife. Following its death, the children were successfully rescued.

Killed ByEdit

On a mission to rescue his younger brother, Hal attached a dead harness to his back and infiltrated the hospital where the children were kept. Having learned how to silently kill Skitters from Anne Glass, Hal drew a pocket knife and prepared to stab the Skitter in the soft pallet of its mouth behind which was its nerve center. As Hal moved to kill the sleeping Skitter, Ben awoke and Hal called out to him, waking the Skitter. Hal stabbed it in the mouth, but missed its nerve center, leading to the two fighting. After Tom Mason shot the Skitter with an arrow, Hal was able to bring it to the ground and stab it in the nerve center, killing it.

  • When with the kids, the Skitter perched itself above them and even stroked the faces of one and Hal Mason, seemingly showing affection for the children under its care. In return, after its death, one of the harnessed children could be seen touching the Skitter's body sorrowfully. In "Sanctuary (Part 1)", Ben indicates this himself, saying that in "their own bizarro way", the Skitters seemed to care for the harnessed kids.
